The Ice Cube Dilemma
As you think about your life problems, and you come up with all sorts of causes , explanations and ideas how to change your life, you are actually wasting your time !
Looking at you problems in life and trying to identify causes, is parallel to a person who is looking mysteriously at a melting Ice cube, and wondering “from where does the leak comes from ?” ; There is no hole which where the water drops and falls. So , why is there a leak ? what causes it ? and how can I resolve it ?
Our society teached us to see the world as a puzzle, not as a whole, and this is how we see ourselves – as a complicated puzzle that needs to be solved part by part. The truth is that we operate as wholes, exactly like the ice-cube. And trying to fix an attribute or a part of the whole, will just go wrong ; Imagine to yourself a complexed chemical formula – If you replace or add one atom, you get something else, a different “whole”, but you do not “fix” or change the object itself. You just get something new.
If you are wondering how you can change you life without becoming something else, you need to first think of yourself as a whole, and not as a mixture of things. Don’t search for excuses as “If i only had more confidence, more courage, etc..“ , because there isn’t a “hole” in you that needs to be fixed in order for you to become whatever you want to be. It is YOU – The complete form leaks , and that is what you need to work on – yourself as a whole !
This is the first key to improve yourself.
